Functions of Human Resource Management

Human Resource Management is the process of analyzing the organizational human resource need, recruiting and selecting people, training, motivating, and retaining employees. The functions of human resources can be classified into four

1) Staffing - Staffing is concerned with filling and keeping filled positions in the organization. It is the HRM function that deals with the placement, growth, and development of the employees of the organization.  

2) Training and Development - Teaching specific and particular knowledge and skill required for employees to perform the present job is known as training whereas development is the growth of individuals and preparations for higher levels of job.

3) Motivation - Employee motivation is the enthusiasm, commitment, and energy level that an employee displays in the workplace

4) Maintenance - Maintenance functions refers to maintaining the employees in the organization
